Ashley is a dedicated mental health professional with a lifelong passion for helping others. Her journey into psychology began at a young age, driven by a genuine desire to make a positive impact on people's lives.
After high school, Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from George Mason University. Following her relocation to Florida, she took on the role of Adolescent Case Manager, where she played a pivotal part in facilitating mental health services and advocating for children and their families. Her commitment to improving the well-being of young minds and their support systems quickly became evident in her work.
While Ashley found great fulfillment in her case management role, she felt compelled to deepen her impact. This drive led her to pursue a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy, from Jacksonville University. During her graduate studies, Ashley gained invaluable experience working with adults and families facing substance use disorders, both in inpatient and outpatient settings. This experience further solidified her passion for the mental health field and broadened her expertise.
Building on her diverse background, Ashley has spent years providing virtual therapy services, using her extensive experience and holistic approach to create positive change in the lives of her clients. Her work has always been centered around offering comprehensive support tailored to the individual needs of those she serves.
Ashley made the exciting decision to open her own private practice, Ponte Vedra Beach Counseling, where she continues to offer virtual therapy sessions. As the owner and therapist, she provides flexible appointment options, including day, evening, and weekend sessions upon request, ensuring her services are accessible to those seeking support on their own schedule.
In addition, Ashley is trained in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy, having completed Level 3 training. This expertise allows her to integrate Gottman assessments and interventions into her clinical work, particularly for clients navigating complex relationship dynamics and co-morbidities such as PTSD, addiction, affairs, and domestic violence. With her deep understanding of relationship theory, treatment planning, and working with couples, Ashley is equipped to guide clients through their most challenging issues.
